Hello friends,
I am back after a long interval :-) This time i am going to share with you something with you guys about MISTAKES.
Mistakes which generally all of us makes. Mistakes which makes you feel proud and also sometime you regret about them.
When i say i mean in terms of a software engineer, a working technocrat in whole means a complete 24X7 slave :-)
1. Set the Expectation: Setting up the expectation with your self , your team, your lead is most important. If you take the work whatever your team member push on you or whatever your lead asks you to do will not help you in long term. I mean term as YOY, the time when your appraisal arrives though it may help you in getting a good smile from your team mate or lead for short time. Please donot make fool of your self that people will remember your good deeds always :-). So the bottom line is do not make yourself in a position where people dump their work on you but set your expectation that what you really want and how much you can handle. Tell about your expectation to others to avoid any last minute betrayal Stamp :-)
2.Ask Reasonable, Don't Fuck Your Boss: I guess this is the most important mistake which we do, that is asking things in return from our Boss or our manager. We may ask anything like recognition, better salary, promotion , better appraisal. It's good that we ask if we don't ask we will never get :-). The important point i guess is we forget that Boss is after all a BOSS. He can do anything for you, either good or bad. So the best way to win in this situation is to try to win your boss and if he is not convinced please do not challenge him. We always think other people will support us. I can tell you from my own experience no matter how good you work or who ever be the Mr. Right, corporate always goes with the BOSS. The Face-off of the corporate you can really see when you put your paper down to any company or you fight with your boss, till then you you will enjoy a good relationship with them.
3. Friends No Friends: We take people as what we see or how they talk to us or how we like them. That's not always true. In your workplace there is no friend but all are real friend. Friend who will share coffee with you, who will spend time with you, who will watch movie with you, who will enjoy work with you, who will gossip about your leads and other teams. But they will never be with you when you really need them, specially when you leave that team. So never have a friends mania like college or schools at workplace. I don't say thay will backstab you, the choice is yours.. you can trust them but not always..So be THE intelligent collegue with a so called good friend circle.
That's all for now guys.. it's 10:55 PM now .. Think Rajasthan Royals lose their another wicket.. i think Prince of KingsXI Punjab will able to screw Shane this time :0
Bye.. Take Care...
Ciao!!!

An Interview Story
Hello Friends!!!
This is another interview story with an IT Company. I am in IT industry from last 3 years and i insinuated from my previous interviews is no matter how much you studied at some point of time you should know to fool an interviewer. Another way is the Flow and Control technology where you give a flow to answer such a way that interviewer should ask what you want him to ask.
In my case the interview generally gone smoothly as for me it was a cake walk. The first round generally happens to be face to face but in this company the interviewer could not make to come to venue so it happend to be a TC (tele conference). I used the technic of Flow and Control and also Ambiguity in answers. When ever i get a Question i used to understand it first and if i know i dont know anything about it i used the Ambiguity in answers. It's a great technique as it confused the interviewer and in meantime i pushed the flow to my strong areas. So this works!!! Finally i got selected in the Tech interview... Bingo...
Now i had to attend a project manger review round. I din't find this round as a necessary one. It was just an scanning round where he tried to know why i want to quit my old company which is @ No:1 now. I told him it's the money. He smiled as i guess he didn't expect such a straight answer.
Finally it was the HR round which was more interesting. He used the Friend and Foe technique. Where he acted as a very friendly to me but company as a Foe. He told me lots of -ve points about his company to check my knowledge about this company. something Like we put b'ful slides to attract candidates , Our PM gives a tuff work to associates. I almost disagreed on all the point. Finally he asked how much money i want. I told him my expectation. But he said it's too much he can't. He acted like i am asking too much. I smiled and walk away. Finally he called me and told he is okie with salary and willing to release the offer letter. So another success.
But did i join..... No i din't... Why ??? I was not satisfied with Technical person interview... I always think a person can be evaluated much better by a face to face interview than TC. So if you want to hire a great talent try to make your self present for face to face IV.
Cheers!!!
